WHY CHOOSE US?

At Thompson Farms, we raise "happy, healthy hogs". That simply means that we give them room to do what comes natural, such as rooting in the dirt, grazing green pastures and lounging in the mud. They live out their entire life on the farm from birth to harvest, never confined in crates or cages.

We believe that by treating these animals with respect and giving them the best life on the farm not only sets a higher standard for animal welfare but also produces a cleaner, more delicious product for our customers.

ROTATIONAL GRAZING 

Every 2-3 weeks, the pigs are rotated onto fresh, green pasture to prevent overgrazing. We utilize nearly 200 acres on this grazing system so we are able to let pastures adequately rest for months at a time. 

Pigs will enjoy grazing on rye grass in the fall/winter months and millet in the spring/summer.
